School House System
At our school, we operate a house system for rewards. This motivates our pupils in healthy competition within the school community and promotes a sense of achievement and belonging. Upon entry into our Reception year, pupils are assigned to one of our four houses where they remain until they leave at the end of Year 6. Younger siblings also become members of the same house. Our houses are:
- Abington (Green)
- Delapre (Red)
- Kingsthorpe (Yellow)
- Moulton (Blue)
The names and colours of our Houses were originally chosen by our school council. Points are given via the ‘Good To Be Green’ behaviour system as well as won during sports days. All the points are collated and a House Cup awarded to the winning house at the end of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
