Welcome to Year 3!

Year 3 is the first year of Key Stage 2 (years 3-6) of the National Curriculum. There are currently no national tests in this year. Many children continue to consolidate their learning from Key Stage 1 as they move onto the Key Stage 2 objectives.

In Year 3 children are encouraged to consider taking extra music lessons with peripatetic teachers most of whom work with the Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust, NMPAT. Currently we have lessons for piano, woodwind, brass and guitar on offer, see our Music page for further information and costs. However, if your child has a passion to play something else and is committed to practising, let us know and we will see what we can arrange! Grants are sometimes available to help with the cost, so please contact the school office to find out more.
